I have been creating quilts and soft goods for some time now and am defining the style of my brand. Wanting to create products that look good, but are still completely functional. Quilts that are meant to be used in a variety of different ways, rather than just hung on a wall in the nursery. Wraps that are meant to not only swaddle your little one, but cover you up while nursing, keep the sun out of baby's eyes and keep spit up off the carpet while jr. is learning how to roll over. Moms want products that look good and can be used and taken care of in a utilitarian manner without any fuss. I hope that I have created that product and that you enjoy my journey as I continue to brand my merchandise and create beautiful goods that are meant to be used, not just looked at.

Crazy Day

All day long I have been trying to sit behind the sewing machine, but for some strange reason it is just not in the cards for me. Most of you would probably say that if I can sit in front of this computer to write this entry I should be able to find time to sew. Not the case: while I have figured out how to do a lot of things while nursing (ie. knitting, embroidery, typing, reading, eating etc...), I have yet to figure out how to sew while feeding a baby. Every time I get caught up with all of my other duties, it seems to be time for the baby to eat. Alas, such is the life I have chosen with three children. Never a dull moment to be had, never enough hours in the day. Once everyone is in bed and sleeping, I am hoping to have the time to at least finish the quilt for my next collection so that I may move on to the more exciting burp cloths this weekend. Another chapter to close.
